Soy del Caribe is pleased to reach
its readers with its first issue of the year 2002 after wrapping
up a very successful year for our airline, in which a growth in
both the number of regular flights and aircraft, coupled with higher
service standards were its most remarkable features. Among our most
outstanding outcomes, a grand total of 195,000 passengers were flown,
a figure we intent to raise this year to 256,500 for a 30% increase.
As far as cargo transportation is concerned, our airline moved roughly
103 tons of goods and a significantly higher number is expected
in that particular kind of service. As to schedule compliance back
in 2001, a walloping 96% speaks volumes for our airline and that's
an figure we are bent on keeping up and raising.
Last year was equally characterized by the signing of some major
agreements with tour operators, whose benefits in many cases are
already seen while other will be pulled off in the new stage now
beginning. Thus, our magazine continues to both inform and entertain
those who choose to fly Aerocaribbean, our regional airline.
On this occasion and from now on, there will be a new page permanently
printed out in our magazine and devoted to list all services our
company has to offer; the recently implemented but already coveted
column entitled Aerocaribbean Today, prints interesting news that
will serve to enhance the previous information, as well as everything
related to the customized service provided in our airline's flights
2816 and 2817 sponsored by the Bluepass Alliance. Our current issue
puts out a report on active tourism in Cuba and purveys all necessary
information for you to enjoy a country brimming with possibilities.
All this is inserted among other luring topics Soy del Caribe presents
to start off a year full or surprises and new challenges lying ahead.
